As expected Bharat Arun made the bowling coach of Team India
Ever since Ravi Shastri had taken over the job of head coach for Team India, it was being speculated that he would like to have Bharat Arun as his deputy in the Indian team's bowling department.

It has now been officially confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that Bharat Arun will be the team's new bowling coach.

The decision was taken by the BCCI committee comprising of acting president CK Khanna, acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary and CoA member Diana Edulji who met at the board headquarters in Mumbai.

Apart from the appointment of Bharat Arun, Sanjay Bangar and R Sridhar will remain the batting and fielding coaches respectively. The appointment

of Bharat Arun was on the cards and has been now handed a full-time role. However, bowling consultant Zaheer Khan will only be available for 150 days a year.

It is pertinent to add that the 54-year-old had in the past served in the same capacity during Shastri's tenure as team Director from 2014 to 2016. Arun, former

Indian bowler also had been Shastri's teammate from their Under-19 and India days.

On Monday batting coach Sanjay Bangar came to the BCCI headquarters to meet the CEO Rahul Johri and General Manager MV Sridhar with whom he had spent a lot of time in the West Indies last week.

With these appointments the process of choosing coaching team has come to a full circle as this will have a direct impact on the performance of Team India which gears up to take on Sri Lanka from 26th of July onwards. Ravi Shastri has finally got what he wanted.
