Death toll in Las Vegas concert shooting incident rises to 60, suspected gunman killed
64-year-old Stephen Paddock, the main suspect in the one of the deadliest shooting incidents ever that took place in Las Vegas, killed himself after carrying out the firing. The death toll in the massacre has now touched 60. The reckless shooting also left over 500 people injured.

It was on last Sunday that a gunman showered bullets from his hotel on the 32nd floor on a gathering of people enjoying a country music festival in Las Vegas near a Casino.

However, the companion of the shooter is on the run. The incident is being termed as one the deadliest mass shootings in US history.

Once again, the gun culture and gun violence in the United States is being debated. The gun ownership in the country is constitutionally protected by a Bill of Rights. The right is grant for buying and using firearms for self-defence, hunting, and recreational purposes such as target shooting.

Gun culture and politics has polarised the US citizens and many of them have been advocating for stricter gun control. In the US, a large number of firearms owned by civilians lead to a high level of gun violence. In the US, the gun owners are often called "gun nuts" who indulge into fanatical behaviour causing a threat to the safety of others.

In the US, the gun industry is one of booming industries since citizens have the constitutional right to purchase and bear arms. The gun and ammunition sales to citizens contribute significantly to this multi-billion dollar industry which is ever growing in the US. Often the debate in the US gets cantered on reconciling the gun rights and public safety despite the fact that several ten thousand people get killed by firearms each year.
