ISL - Indian Super League
Hero ISL 2016 preview: FC Pune City will look for full points against NorthEast United FC
FC Pune City who had opened their account against FC Goa last week now return home to face NorthEast United on Wednesday.

FC Pune City are in the hunt for acquiring maximum nine points from their next three games at home, as they seem desperate to book a place for themselves in the semi-finals of Season 3 of the Indian Super League.

Today's match between FC Pune City and NorthEast United takes place at the Shree Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium. This shall be followed by two more encounters at the same venue against the Kerala Blasters on October 17 and against Chennaiyin FC on October 23.

Coach Miguel who is filling in for Antonio Habas has already made himself clear that they want to settle for nothing less than full points.

The victory march of NorthEast United was halted by a loss against Mumbai City FC after two consecutive wins at home. Coach Nelo Vingada has to ensure that his side performs well away from home too.

The Portuguese coach, after his team lost by a solitary goal said, "I am proud of the players even though we made some mistakes. Missed a couple of chances... But this is football, these mistakes happen because we play with men and not with robots and machines. I am leaving with this performance and not the result. I am leaving Mumbai more optimistic than I was even before we lost."

NorthEast United had their chances but could not encash them against Mumbai. NorthEast United are currently at the second spot of the Hero ISL points table with six points from 3 matches.
