'Life is under threat' - claims absconder Honeypreet in her anticipatory bail plea filed with Delhi HC
Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of rapist Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has claimed that her life is under threat from drug syndicates of Punjab & Haryana, as reported by ANI.

In her anticipatory bail plea filed in the Delhi Court on Monday, Honeypreet has claimed that "she is a single woman with clean antecedents, a law abiding citizen and is also willing to join in the investigations against the Dera Sacha Sauda Chief".

The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear Honeypreet's bail plea today, Tuesday, at 2 pm.

Honeypreet alias Priyanka Taneja has been absconding since August 25, the day Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted for rape and taken into judicial custody.

In the meanwhile, the Panchkula police armed with an arrest warrant, today morning raided a property in south Delhi's posh Greater Kailash locality, looking for Honeypreet. However, the police team returned empty handed unable to find her there.

A lookout notice was issued against Honeypreet on September 1. On September 19, the Haryana police had charged Honeypreet Insan for allegedly inciting mob violence after the conviction of the Dear Chief Ram Rahim by a Panchkula court on August 25. The violence at Panchkula had left forty people dead and over 250 injured.

The Haryana police has been running across the length and breadth of the country in search of Honeypreet, including the Indo-Nepal border for the past one month.
