Pay through Paytm at retail stores now
Paytm is set to enter the payment markets of leading retail chains in India. The company has entered into strategic alliances with leading retail chains across the country. This alliance would allow customers to pay with Paytm at several retail stores such as Spencer's Retail, Heritage Fresh, More, WH Smith, Kendriya Bhandar, V2 Retail, Value Plus and Pai International (Pai Mobile).

With this alliance in place, Paytm will enter the retail chain markets and will reduce cash transactions to a large extent. Paytm has already partnered with various chain stores such as KFC, Pizza Hut, CCD, Costa Coffee, Barista and Vaango.

Moreover by using Paytm wallet at listed stores, users get access to a wide range of promotional offers and schemes.

"We are very excited about our partnership with large format retail chains. With this we enable greater convenience to our user base while giving them more payment options and seamless checkout processes. In addition to the user convenience, we are quite confident that we will also bring in more footfalls to our partner stores," said Senior Vice President Paytm, Kiran Vasireddy.

Paytm is constantly adding new markets to its bucket. Various cab & auto service providers have partnered with Paytm to offer their customers a cashless payment method. Jugnoo, the auto-rickshaw aggregator app has also partnered with Paytm for the same.

After partnering with PVR and INOX, earlier this year, in May, Paytm partnered with Mother Diary for offline payments across Delhi-NCR. It also plans to include 350 Safal outlets in the portfolio. For offline payment, once the cashier generates the bill at the desk, a QR code for one outlet will be generated which can be scanned by the customer to pay for the products bought.

Paytm also has tied up with leading parking management companies and property owners like SA Parking, Secure and DAPS to let the users pay the parking fees through their Paytm wallet.
