Shifting of Kherki Daula toll will be a major boon for the residents of new Gurgaon
In a major sigh of relief for residents of newer sectors of Gurgaon, there is a proposal to shift the Kherki Daula toll.

It would come as a major surprise for the employees who are compelled to commute on a daily basis to the industrial townships of Manesar, Dharuhera and Bhiwadi, and have to wait in long queues for paying the toll.

The government has recently announced that the Kherki Daula toll plaza would be relocated beyond the NSG complex in Manesar and a large plot in Sehrawan has been identified for the relocation.

However, a final call will be taken once there is some clarification on the change of the land use. Henceforth, the toll will be shifted 8 km nearer to Manesar from the current location. Furthermore, the authorities have claimed that the transfer of land to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is being taken up on priority to facilitate the relocation.

The whole process of identifying the right land for shifting the toll plaza is being contemplated by Gurugram MP and Union Minister of State for Planning, Rao Inderjit Singh.

The decision has come into force due to both the industrialists and residents of the area demanding relocation of Kherki Daula toll.

"We have been looking forward to the shifting of Kherki Daula toll and this development has come as a major relief to us. The move will decongest the area as well as reduce commuting time for those plying on this stretch. It will surely benefit people who are residing or planning to move into newer sectors of Gurugram," said Atul Dev, a DLF Gardencity resident.

"Shifting of Kherki Daula toll has been demanded by residents and industrialists alike for a long time. The news of its relocation will be a game-changer for the newer sectors of Gurugram. No longer will we have to wait in long queues at the toll. It will not only ease congestion but also ensure smoother flow of traffic," said Vishal Srivastava, a DLF Gardencity resident.

Those working in the industrial townships of Manesar, Dharuhera and Bhiwadi, and pass through this stretch on a daily basis have to wait in long queues at the toll.
