Diwali or Deepawali or Dipawali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes. Diwali celebrated on the new moon day that marks the end of Ashwin and beginning of Kartik month. Diwali commemorates the return of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman, from his 14-year-long exile and vanquishing the demon-king Ravan. It is the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of good over evil - and the glory of light.
