The Greatest Star of stage or screen of the Millennium Amitabh Bachchan first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Bollywood film industry. Amitabh Bachchan is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. In his entire career, Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan won eight "Filmfare Awards" including five as "Best Actor" and three as "Best Supporting Actor". He won his first "Filmfare Award" in 1972 for the film "Anand" as Best Supporting Actor. In 1974 won second "Filmfare Award" for the film "Namak Haraam" as Best Supporting Actor and again in 2001 for the film "Mohabbatein". Amitabh Bachchan won his first "Filmfare Award" for Best Actor in 1978 for the film "Amar Akbar Anthony". In 1979, 1992, 2006 and 2010 he won Best Actor Award for the film "Don", "Hum", "Black" and "Paa".
