All said and done, video games are sports for the lazy - exciting and convenient as they may be. Young boys and girls - be it in game arcades like this one in MGF Metropolitan in Gurgaon or on hand-held Gameboys and Playstations - spend a lot of time craning their neck, glued to screens, while trying to outwit virtual opponents rather than those in flesh and blood. Children, and even those in their 20s and 30s, not only end up spending a lot of money over time on video games, but also lose out on exercise, team spirit, physical co-ordination, and sheer pleasure of learning new games that one can then play for the rest of one's life.
