Few hours of rain and roads became swimming pools in Gurgaon
It took just a few hours of downpour to flood many roads of Gurgaon and convert them into rivulets, which submerged cars, autos, bikes, and cycles in one to three foot deep rain water. This citizen journalist took this picture outside the commercial Ansal Triangle building in Gurgaon's Palam Vihar area. As usual, non-serviced road drainage, and inefficient or non-existent drains led to huge inconvenience to thousands of commuters. Gurgaon administration can form 'flash teams' that are ready to converge to flooded areas to open up the clogged drains, and pump out the collected and standing water.
