In a society that tends toward mass production and consumption, there are still those whose primary concern is content and authenticity. Such is the idea of "Boutique Schools". The Fine School provides a creative, multidisciplinary environment for students via its curriculum that includes the western arts, the history of art, and art education. This intensive program consists of 24 classes and it has been designed for people who are serious about developing their interest in works of art and the discipline of Western Art History. The program also includes the development of art in Italy from the time of the Etruscans to Constantine the Great, focusing on the monuments of imperial Rome and on the architecture, sculpture, paintings and mosaics in Italy and throughout the empire, up until the major art movements of late nineteenth-century France.
